Message
In January 2023, Showa Denko K.K. and Showa Denko Materials K.K. merged and integrated into a new company named Resonac. With this merger, the company name “Showa Denko Ceramics CO., Ltd.” (Since 2014 to 2022) will change to “ Resonac Ceramics Co., Ltd.”.
The Resonac Group's purpose is to "Change society through the power of chemistry”, ”Open-mindedness that transcends boundaries”, ”Foresight to the future and high ethical standards”. As a member of the Resonac Group, we will work to solve social issues through our business activities under this management philosophy.
My mission as president is to sustainably increase corporate value by aiming to "provide first-class ceramic products and services that exceed expectations to customers solving social issues" under the management philosophy of the Resonac Group. To realize this vision, it is essential not only for us to make our own efforts, but also to cooperate and collaborate with various stakeholders beyond the boundaries of industry and business sectors.
I believe that the enthusiasm of our employees for our vision and the implementation of our four values will be strongly linked to the co-creation of a diverse range of stakeholders who share the Resonac Group's path, thereby realizing a virtuous cycle that will enhance our contribution toward the realization of a sustainable society.
For 3 years we have consecutively achieved zero accidents that result in lost workdays. Keeping our employees safe and our facilities operation stable, reducing all the risks we have identified with a special focus on pinching and entanglement. In addition, we have increased opportunities for dialogue based on employee safety awareness surveys to generate new ideas and value to upgrade employee health, safety, the environment, and compliance.
Through co-creation with customers, employees, local communities, partners, and all stakeholders, Resonac Ceramics will embody the Resonac Group's goal of becoming a "co-creative chemical company."
