Shiojiri Plant
About the Shiojiri Plant
The current Shiojiri Plant started in 1932 with the establishment of a Shiojiri Plant by Nihon Yodo, Inc. (the predecessor of Showa Denko K.K.). Since then, we have utilized our high level of technical expertise and creativity, cultivated over many years, to supply various ceramic products worldwide.
Furthermore, situated in Nagano, an environment where nature abounds, we quickly focused on hydroelectric and solar power generation, and are promoting sustainable business operations that make use of renewable energy sources.
Furthermore, we’re actively working on a digital transformation (DX) of our plants in their entirety, engaged in voluntarily streamlining and improving productivity of operations in each workplace.
Today, all our employees continue to uphold our traditions and product quality, challenging transformation while prioritizing environment consideration and coexistence with the local community.
